🙏 Here’s a devotion on Romans 12:2 (ESV):
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Reflection
Paul contrasts two ways of living: conformity to the world and transformation through God’s Spirit. The world pressures us to fit its mold—its values, priorities, and desires. But God calls His people to be reshaped from the inside out.
The key is the renewal of the mind. Transformation begins not with behavior modification but with the Spirit changing how we think. When Scripture and prayer saturate our hearts, our perspective shifts. We begin to see life, decisions, and people the way God does.
The promise is powerful: renewed minds allow us to discern God’s will—to know not only what is right, but what is best, what pleases Him, what aligns with His perfect plan.
Scripture Connections
- Ephesians 4:23–24 – “Be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new self, created after the likeness of God.”
- Colossians 3:2 – “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”
- 2 Corinthians 3:18 – We are “being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another.”
Prayer
Father, transform me today by the renewal of my mind. Guard me from conforming to the world’s patterns. Help me to think Your thoughts, love what You love, and discern Your will in every choice I make. Shape me more into the likeness of Christ. Amen.
