🌅 Daily Devotion — John 6:35 (ESV)
“Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.’”
💭 Reflection
This verse follows the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000, when the crowd began seeking Jesus for more physical bread. But He shifts their attention from temporary satisfaction to eternal fulfillment.
Jesus declares Himself to be the Bread of Life — not merely one who provides sustenance, but the very source of it. Just as bread satisfies physical hunger, Christ alone satisfies the deepest hunger of the soul.
We live in a world filled with substitutes, things that promise fulfillment but leave us empty: success, approval, possessions, even religious routine. But Jesus offers something lasting. He says, “Come to Me… believe in Me.” Not “work for,” not “earn,” but simply “come.”
To feed on Christ is to trust Him daily, to draw strength from His Word, to be nourished by His presence, and to let His Spirit satisfy every longing.
Every morning we hunger for purpose, peace, and hope. Jesus invites us to the table, not just to nibble, but to be filled.

🙏 Prayer
Lord Jesus, You are my Bread of Life.
Feed my soul with Your truth, strengthen my heart with Your love,

Keep me from chasing what cannot satisfy,
and teach me to find all I need in You alone.
