📖 Scripture Text

“But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, ‘Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.’”

🕊️ Reflection

This moment reveals the heart of Jesus with beautiful clarity.
The disciples saw children as a distraction — something unimportant, something that could wait.
But Jesus saw them as precious, welcome, and worthy of His full attention.

When He says, “Do not hinder them,” He’s also speaking to us today:

Don’t let anything — pride, busyness, fear, self-doubt — keep you from coming to Him like a child.
Not childish… but childlike:

  • trusting
  • honest
  • humble
  • dependent
  • receptive
  • unafraid to draw near

Jesus isn’t annoyed by your needs.
He isn’t tired of hearing your voice.
He isn’t pushing you away.
He doesn’t see you as an interruption.

You are someone He wants close — someone He welcomes with open arms.

And the Kingdom belongs to people who approach Him that way:
not trying to impress Him, earn Him, or prove something —
but simply coming as they are.

🙏 Prayer

Lord Jesus,
Thank You for welcoming me the way You welcomed those children.
Teach me to come to You with a childlike heart — honest, trusting, open, and willing.
Remove anything in me that hesitates or holds back from Your presence.
Let my walk with You today be simple, pure, and full of faith.
Amen.
