🌅 Daily Devotion — Ephesians 2:8–9 (ESV)

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

💭 Reflection

Paul reminds us here of a truth that reshapes how we see everything — salvation is a gift, not a paycheck.

We live in a world built on earning and proving. From careers to relationships, we’re taught to strive for approval. But God’s kingdom operates differently. Grace isn’t something you work for; it’s something you receive.

Faith is the open hand that takes hold of what grace freely offers.
Our good works, obedience, and service don’t earn God’s love — they’re simply our response to it.

When we rest in grace, we stop striving for acceptance and start living from it. That changes how we treat others too: no judgment, no competition, just gratitude that we’re all here only because of grace.

You don’t have to be “good enough” today. You just have to remember you’re loved enough — and that love transforms everything you do.

🙏 Prayer

Lord, thank You for the gift of grace that I could never earn.
Teach me to rest in Your mercy and live out of gratitude, not guilt.
When I’m tempted to prove myself, remind me that Jesus already finished the work.
Let Your grace shape my thoughts, my words, and my actions today.
Amen.
